ATTENTION, ATTENTION, ALERT, ALERT. Everyone. There is a new development in America that everyone needs to be aware of. It's called the cronut.

Part crossant, part donut, all magic (or so I guess). Word has it- these are the new pastry to get your hands on that is only available at Ansel Bakery in SoHo. People start lining up as early as 6 AM and wait up to two hours to try to get one of these treats. Only about 200 are made per day (and it's also in New York) so it's not easy to experience this small gift from heaven. There are even posts on craigslist offering big bucks for a cronut fix. 

Here is a supposed recipe for a cronut. Worth the try? Probably.
