Last night Colin and I went to go see Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward in concert with their band She & Him. Yes, I made sure my bangs looked really good for this one! To see more concert pictures and a video, click "read more!"
Zooey was so so cute- honestly, (and this might seem like a really vague opinion) she was exactly how you'd expect her to be. Funny, clever, but not too over the top. M. Ward on the other hand is foine. Zooey would be cooing along- looking like a cutie- then M. Ward would step in and lure all the ladies in with one look. No joke. "Woo"s every time he looked the audience's way. That guy knows how to work it.

The show was the perfect summer concert. Very retro, very fun, very poppy, and very perfect for the middle of June.
She & Him did one encore after playing "In the Sun", and then, SURPRISE, they came back out after a few moments and sang a cover of "I Put A Spell On You," which might have been the best number of the night. It was just Zooey and Matt together, and Zooey showed us that she had pipes! Here's a short video below:
